About the Academy

Dear Players, Parents, and Friends,

Welcome to my Academy’s website! I want to thank everybody who came out to a 2009 program, and made my Academy’s inaugural year truly unforgettable. This past summer I was able to run 6 programs, and had the privilege to teach and interact with over 230 kids. The overwhelmingly positive response from the players, along with the numerous warm and gracious emails from parents was extremely humbling. I cannot wait for the upcoming summer!

Believe it or not, I learned a lot about soccer from my players this past summer – and I think it helped me have one of my best pro seasons ever. I hope I was able to impart some of my knowledge and passion of the game back to my Academy players.

In 2010 I am going to run more Academy programs, return to sites I was at in 2009, and expand to some more sites throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The program is going to be very similar (we got new t-shirts ;-) and a few new coaches), but the focus is going to remain on teaching the fundamentals – passing, dribbling, defending, and shooting. Whether you are a 6 year old beginner or me practicing daily to get better, mastering the fundamental techniques is what will take your game to even higher levels.

If you have never been to an Academy clinic or camp – I hope to see you in 2010, and if you came out to a program in 2009, I better see you this summer! !
